Chess Olympiad: Armenian women’s team shares lead
Both the Armenian men’s and women’s teams have claimed victories at Round 6 of the 43rd World Chess Olympiad taking place in Batumi, Georgia.
The men’s team beat Macedonia 3.5-0.5 in the round to share the 4-13 spots with 10 points, the Armenian National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am.
The Armenian women’s team took a 3-1 win over Russia to share the World Chess Olympiad lead with Georgia and U.S.
With the games of Round 7 scheduled for Monday, the Armenian men’s team is set to face Belarus, while the women’s team – the Unites States.
