Exhibition of artwork by Bulgarian-Armenian painter Arshak Nersisyan opened in Sofia
Yuzina Art Gallery of Sofia hosted the opening of the exhibition of the artwork by Bulgarian-Armenian painter Arshak Nersisyan titled “Color and Form.”
Press department at the foreign ministry reports that culture and art sector representatives attended the event along with members of the local Armenian community. Ambassador of Armenia to Bulgaria Armen Sargsyan was among the guests of the opening ceremony.
The exhibition features the works painted over the recent years and will be open until October 14.
Arshak Nersisyan is well known for his colorful fractural figurative and landscape paintings. Born in Armenia in 1952. He graduated from the Art Academy of Yerevan, Armenia. With a specialization in graphic arts. He specializes in Lithuania and Latvia. He worked as an artistic editor of the magazine "Women of Armenia". During this period, he has done several exhibitions around the world. In 1994, he arrived in Bulgaria as a representative of the Armenian Cultural Fund, but has remained in the country since 1996.
