President Sarkissian attends “Armenia” exhibition at Metropolitan museum of New-York
President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, who is paying working visit to the United States, attended “Armenia” exhibition opened at New York’s Metropolitan Museum. The president toured the exhibition halls to get acquainted with the best samples of Armenian art and culture dating as far back as the 4th to 17th centuries.
As the press department at the President’s Office reported, President Sarkissian noted that this year the Armenian culture has been widely featured in the United States, recalling also his recent trip to Washington, the 2018 Folklife Festival that featured two case studies, offering a glimpse into Armenian culture.
President Sarkissian stressed with satisfaction that the exhibition opened at Metropolitan with unique items on display will enable millions of Americans and foreign visitors of the museum to get familiarized with the history and cultural heritage of one of the first Christian nations.
