Yerevan Opera Theater to host Aznavour homage ceremony
A ceremony to honor legendary Charles Aznavour will take place at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan on Friday, 5 October.
The homage ceremony will start at 5pm to last until 9pm, the Ministry of Culture told Panorama.am.
A book of condolence is expected to open in the venue as a tribute to the great chansonnier. Everyone is welcome to make notes in the book and lay flowers in his memory.
World-renowned French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour died of natural causes in his home in southeastern France on 1 October at the age of 94.
Armenia and Artsakh will declare Aznavour’s funeral day as a national day of mourning.
