Sergey Smbatyan to lead the Armenian programme of the Francophonie gala concert
The Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra Sergey Smbatyan’s will conduct the Armenian programme of Francophonie gala concert tonight in the Republic Square
As the Orchestra reported in a release, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra will perform movements from Symphony No. 2 of the Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, Uzun Dara, the Sabre Dance – a famous movement in the final act of Aram Khachaturian's ballet Gayane, Symphony 3 Avet Terteryan, other works.
The Orchestra will also perform Dle Yaman with Armenian musician and composer Djivan Gasparyan.
To note, the gala concert scheduled for the evening of 11 October in the Republic Square consists of three parts. The last part of the gala concert will be dedicated to legendary French-Armenian singer and songwriter Charles Aznavour.
