First ladies attending the Francophonie summit tour Yerevan museums
The wives of the heads of delegations, attending the 17th Francophonie summit in Yerevan, visited today the Museum of Yervand Kochar which is considered a major research center of historical vanguard and propaganda in the region. Among the guests were France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron, and Belgian PM’s wife.
The guests toured the premises and got familiarized with Kochar’s works-masterpieces of the period in Paris and Yerevan, paintings, sculptures, graphic works and landscape paintings and the artistic legacy as one of the most notable phenomena of the modern art in the 20th century.
The guests next left notes in the guestbook of the museum.
To note, Kochar was a prominent sculptor a founder of Painting in Space art movement. The Yervand Kochar Museum is located in Yerevan, Armenia and showcase in 1999 UNESCO marked Kochar's centennial as one of the "outstanding dates" in world art.
After the Museum, the guests visited Cafesjian Center for the Arts.
