Armenian, Russian defense ministers sign bilateral plan of military cooperation for 2019
The Armenian delegation headed by Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan partook at the 75th sitting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states that took place on October 12 in Tashkent.
As the defense ministry reports, the sitting discussed agenda issues and signed more than 20 decision pertaining to a range of issues of multilateral cooperation in defense and security sectors.
In the scope of the visit, Minister Davit Tonoyan held meeting with Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu. The two ministers adopted and signed the bilateral defense cooperation plan for 2019 between Armenian and Russian ministries of defense.
Minister Tonoyan also held a meeting with Uzbek Defense Minister Abdusalom Azizov on the sidelines of the session.
