Justin Trudeau paid tribute to memory of the Armenian Genocide victims
Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau who has arrived in Armenia on official visit and attended the 17th Summit of the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF) visited today Tsitsernakaber – the Memorial dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Accompanied by Armenian FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Canada Levon Martirosyan, the PM laid a wreath at the monument and put flowers at the eternal fire burning in the memory of the victims.
The PM next visited the Genocide Museum and made a note in the museum's honorary guest book in French and English “Tribute to all who lost their lives. Canadians will always speak out against hatred and will not allow the history to repeat,” reads the English note in part.
Justin Trudeau also planted a fir tree at the Memory Alley of the Memorial.
