Canadian PM presented a pair of socks emblazoned with Armenian tricolor
Armenian Prime Minister Niko Pashinyan handed the Canadian PM Justin Trudeau a pair of socks engraved with the colors of Armenian flag. The gift was presented during the official dinner hosted by Pashinyan after the bilateral talks on Friday.
“I have thought what is Mr Trudeau is popular for and what am I for to compete with our beloved prime minister. I think I have seen my popularity with my selfies and Mr Trudeau – with his socks. There is a company in Armenia that has designed a unique present to both of us, laying the foundation for a good friendship. One pair of these socks in mine, Mr Prime Minister, the other – yours,” Pashinyan said, handing the gift to the Canadian PM who is known for his love to extraordinary and funny socks and his quirky choice of socks have become a trademark of the 46-year-old leader.
