Secretaries general of Inter-Parliamentary Union to gather in Yerevan for workshop
The session of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (ASGP) of the Inter-Parliamentary Union is being held in Geneva from 15 to 18 October, in attendance of Chief of Staff-Secretary General of the Armenian National Assembly Ara Saghatelyan.
The agenda of the session includes issues on transparency of parliamentary activity, introduction of modern technology in staffs, parliament-government dialogue and the legal and administrative procedures, the parliament’s press service told Panorama.am.
On the sidelines of the session, Ara Saghatelyan held a number of bilateral meetings, including with the secretaries general of the Georgian and Ukrainian parliaments cooperating with Armenia.
In the course of the meeting Yerevan has been reaffirmed to host the Workshop of the Secretaries General of Parliaments for the exchange of experience on December 6-7.
During the workshop the innovations and the progressive experience implemented during recent years in the Armenian parliament will also be presented, among other things.
PACE Secretary General Wojciech Sawicki has expressed his readiness to take part in the workshop, the parliament said.
