Production of meat, meat products up in Armenia in eight months
Armenia saw a strong growth in the production volumes of meat and meat products in the first eight months of 2018, according to the latest figures released by the National Statistical Committee.
Some 27,979.1 tons of meat were produced in the country from January to August this year, up by 2.1 percent from the same period last year, when 27,412.5 tons were produced.
Meat products, including sausages, increased by 15.3 percent in eight months to stand at 7,408.2 tons.
The production of semi-finished meat products also rose by 67.3 percent to 758.5 tons, the statistics show.
