ARF to run in early parliamentary elections
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation of Armenia held an extraordinary Supreme Assembly session on 19-21 October to discuss the domestic political situation and the current challenges facing the country.
As a result of comprehensive discussions, the party has made a decision to participate in the snap parliamentary elections expected in December.
In a statement released on Monday, ARF stresses that it attaches importance to ideological political fight in the atmosphere of tolerance and mutual respect and aims to implement ideological programs stemming from party’s value system.
Meantime, the statement records that the hasty conduct of early parliamentary elections in December without complete legislative amendments are ‘unacceptable’.
The party voices its concerns over the failure to ensure full guarantees for holding free, fair, transparent elections registered in the government’s action plan.
“As an opposition, ARF will always come up with its principled positions, consistent and resolute steps, irrespective of election outcomes,” the statement says.
