Operative communication established between Armenia, Azerbaijan – MFA spox
Armenia and Azerbaijan have established a real operative communication on the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) frontline in an effort to form and reinforce an atmosphere conducive to peace, a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Anna Naghdalyan told a news briefing on Wednesday.
Asked whether the operative contact has been established after an Artsakh soldier identified as Hayk Sargsyan was wounded yesterday at the protection area of a military unit in the southeastern direction, Naghdalyan said: “The communication has been established, but is not intended for public statements; that’s a real working communication.”
Earlier, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated the communication had been established, adding that it would help exchange information between the two countries within half an hour.
