Khachaturian’s piano compositions to be presented at Yerevan int’l festival
Aram Khachaturian House-Museum is hosting today a unique concert featuring the piano pieces of the world-renowned Armenian composer on the sidelines of the 6th Khachaturian International Festival taking place in the Armenian capital of Yerevan.
Aram Khachaturian’s selection of piano compositions will be offered by Professor of the Yerevan State Conservatory Armine Grigoryan, the pianist of Khachaturian Trio, and Doctor of Arts Raffi Kharajanyan, a member of the Latvian Composers' Union and Honored Artist of Latvia, the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia told Panorama.am.
Kharajanyan, who lives in Riga since 1970, heads the jury of several international piano competitions. He is engaged in educational and concert activities, sharing the stage with famous conductors and orchestras during various festivals.
Khachaturian International Festival has been organized by the State Symphony Orchestra with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
