ARF to run for parliament alone
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) party will run in the upcoming early parliamentary elections alone and not ally with any political parties, the head of ARF faction at the parliament, Armen Rustamyan told a press briefing on Friday.
“ARF prefers to participate in the elections alone,” he said, adding his party still fails to understand why the elections are set specifically for December and not one or two months earlier or later.
The party made a decision to join the electoral campaign at its 22nd extraordinary Supreme Assembly session held from October 19 to 21. In a statement adopted at the meeting, the party also considered ‘unacceptable’ the conduct of snap elections ‘without full-fledged legislative amendments.’
