“Carmen” opera to be premiered in Yerevan
After a successful tour at the Dubai Opera, on 10 November A. Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre will present a premiere of Bizet`s “Carmen” opera to the Armenian public.
As the Opera Facebook page wrote in a port, the director of the to-be-premiered opera performance is Naire Stepanyan. Alongside the soloists of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Theatre`s choir, orchestra, ballet troupe, students of the Vocal School, with Emma Arakelyan as the School`s Chorus Master, are also engaged in the performance.
The Chief Chorus Master of the Theatre is Karen Sargsyan, Honored Artist of the RA.
It is noted that the audience will enjoy the stunning costumes designed by Kristina Avetisyan, as well as a unique stage design created by Avetis Barseghyan, Chief Set Designer of the Theatre.
Principal conductor of the production is Christopher Ocasek (USA).
