21 soldiers were aboard crashed military vehicle in Armenia – spox
The military truck that crashed on an Armenian roadway on Wednesday was carrying 21 solders, Defense Ministry spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan said on Facebook, presenting details on the accident.
Four servicemen identified as Hayrapet V. Nairyan, Hrant A. Gasparyan, Edgar A. Hunanyan and David B. Melkonyan (all 20), were reported to have been killed in the truck accident.
“17 out of the 21 servicemen are out of danger, 8 have suffered bodily injuries of various degrees. Medical examination continues,” he said.
The wounded have been taken to Sisian and Goris hospitals, the spokesman said, adding according to preliminary information one of the soldiers have sustained fractures, while none of them is in a critical condition.
