Speaker Ara Babloyan not to run for parliament
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Ara Babloyan and his son have no plans to run in the snap parliamentary elections scheduled for December 9, he told reporters on Wednesday.
Babloyan, who is also a member of the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia, meantime stressed that the Republicans should take part in the elections.
Asked to assess the chances of the party in the early elections, the official said that the Republican Party has ‘serious human and professional potential’ which should be used for Armenia’s further development.
