Armenian government to allocate around 3 billion drams for early elections
The Armenian government has approved a decision to allocate around three billion drams for the snap parliamentary elections set for 9 December.
Under the draft decision presented by Acting Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan at today’s Cabinet meeting, 2 billion 707 million drams will be allocated to the Central Electoral Commission from the 2018 state budget reserve fund. Another 10 million drams will be provided to the Justice Ministry, 234 million 224.8 thousand to police, and 224 million 200 thousand drams to ensuring communication services.
Acting First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that besides the mentioned sum, donor states of the international community will also provide financial assistance to Armenia for the organization and conduct of early elections.
