UK and Belgian PMs convoys involved in car crash in Belgium
A car in UK’s Theresa May’s convoy has been involved in a crash during her visit to France and Belgium ahead of Armistice Day, according to the Metro UK. She was in a convoy along with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel when the collision occurred. It is believed two outriders were injured involved in the collision and both Prime Ministers are safe.
One of the motorcyclists had to perform an emergency manoeuvre, clipping one of his colleagues, according to local reports and both fell off their bikes. It is being described as an accident and is not believed to be terror related.
Mrs May and Mr Michel were on their way from a commemoration at St Symphorien Military Cemetery in Mons, Bergen. Mr Michel stopped the convoy to see how badly injured the officers were, according to De Standaard.
