Kanye West confirms safety after drive-by shooting
Kanye West has confirmed that he is safe after shots were fired at a house where Tekashi69 was filming a music video with him and Nicki Minaj, according to the UK Metro. The rapper also confirmed that wife Kim Kardashian and the rest of the family were ‘safe’ after The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was forced to evacuate her home after a wildfire ripped through her neighbourhood.
The confirmation comes on Friday after Tekashi was filming a video at an $80 million (£61 million) estate in Beverly Hills on Thursday night when gunshots were reportedly heard ringing out. According to TMZ, police received a call at 10.25pm and rushed to the shoot. A witness told the website that eight shots were fired in an apparent drive-by.
One bullet entered a bedroom of the building. Nobody was hurt in the incident. While Nicki had not yet arrived at the location, Kanye was in the house and immediately left after the shooting. Production of the music video was halted following the incident as police are continuing to investigate the scene. 50 Cent posted this picture of a bullet hole in a bedroom window at the reported house where Tekashi’s video was shooting.
This comes three months after shots were fired near the set of Tekashi’s (the real nameDaniel Hernandez) video with 50 Cent. The rappers were filming in Brooklyn when a car is believed to have shown up, with one of its occupants firing off 11 shots.
