Lukashevich: Ceasefire is a crucial condition for reaching compromise over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
The efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group "trio" to find a viable solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict deserve high appreciation and support, Russia's permanent representative to OSCE Alexander Lukashevich said.
"After a short pause, intensive ties between Armenia and Azerbaijan have been restored. An effective meeting of the heads of the CIS countries took place in Dushanbe on September 28 this year, "he said.
"There is relative stability in the line of contact between the Armenian and Azerbaijani contact line, the ceasefire violations are reduced. This is one of the conditions of the effectiveness of the OSCE Minsk Group mission, " Lukashevich tweeted in the microblog of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the OSCE.
