Defense Minister: No decision made on Swedish fighters by now
"Let us not concentrate on any suggestions with regard to any weapons submitted to the RA Ministry of Defense," RA Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan said at a news conference today, referring to the information regarding the acquisition of Swedish JAS-39 Gripen fighter.
According to the minister, the Defense Ministry examines all the offers received and makes decisions taking into account the price, quality and supply terms.
"There has no decision made about the fighter by now. There is another suggestion received from other partners which is being examined. The decision will be made in the near future, "Davit Tonoyan said.
To the inquiry whether it goes about Russian fighters, and the Acting Minister of Defense answered: "It's possible".
