Armenia's acting FM to attend OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Milan – spox
Armenia’s acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan is due to pay an official visit to Strasbourg, France to attend a meeting of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan told a briefing on Tuesday.
Mnatsakanyan is also expected to hold a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of the event, she said.
“The 25th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting is scheduled to be held on 6 and 7 December in Milan, Italy, in attendance of Zohrab Mnatsakanyan. On 4-5 December, the acting FM will visit Brussels to take part in the meeting of FMs of NATO member and partner states contributing to the Resolute Support Mission,” she added.
Separately, Naghdalyan provided latest updates on the situation on Stepantsminda-Lars highway connecting Armenia with Russia through Georgia. She noted the congestion of vehicles on the Russian side of Lars border checkpoint stretches to 2-2.5 kilometers, with the checkpoint working with an accelerated regime.
“According to the information provided by Georgia, vehicles with trailers or semitrailers are not allowed to pass Gudauri-Kobi sector due to unfavorable weather conditions,” she said, adding that the traffic of cargo vehicles may be restricted on the Armenian-Georgian border as well.
