My Step bloc submits election list to CEC
My Step bloc comprising Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party and the Mission party, was the first to submit its full list to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Civil Contract party spokesman Vahan Kostanyan said apart from representatives of the two parties, the list also features non-partisans.
“As a revolutionary team, we will run for parliament by the My Step bloc. 183 people are included in the proportional list. It includes our whole political team – people who have been engaged in party activities, members of the government and parliament,” he said.
The list also includes two former members of the Republican Party of Armenia – Shirak Torosyan and Feliks Tsolakyan.
“The time has come to destroy the barricades in New Armenia. The involvement of such political figures in the list as Shirak Torosyan and Feliks Tsolakyan are agreed with this fact,” Kostanyan explained.
Pashinyan tops the list followed by Acting First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Lena Nazaryan, the head of the Yelk parliamentary faction. Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan and Acting Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan come fourth and fifth in the list, respectively.
