Gazprom Armenia: There is no final agreement on gas price imported to Armenia
At present, there is no final decision on the gas price imported to Armenia, the director of "Gazprom Armenia" Hrant Tadevosyan told journalists Thursday.
According to him, the gas tariff has been reduced twice since 2016, and the import cost and margin serves as basis for the tariff reduction.
"The cost of gas import has been and is determined by interstate governmental agreements. At this stage the Government of Armenia is negotiating with the Government of Russia and we are not participating and will not participate in these talks, as this is the accepted norm. Based on these agreements, mechanisms and price are set, which serves as basis for Gazprom and Gazexport companies to sign a contract. At present, there is no final agreement reagarding the gas price to be imported to Armenia in 2019," said Hrant Tadevosyan.
He also said that the gas price depends on its quality and safety.
