Armenia’s carpet production grows strongly in nine months
Armenia saw a strong growth in the production volumes of carpet and carpet coverings in the first nine months of this year, the latest statistics reveal.
The country produced 19.4 tons of carpets and carpet coverings from January to September 2018, up by 40,6 percent from the same period last year, when 13.8 tons were produced, Panorama.am reports, citing the National Statistical Service.
Armenia’s carpet production volumes constituted mostly a decrease in 2017, yet recorded increase per annum. In particular, 19.8 tons of carpets and carpet coverings were manufactured in Armenia last year, showing a rise of 10 percent from 2016.
