Pashinyan: 'I hope we can live up to Robert Abajyan’s heroism'
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and his spouse Anna Hakobyan on Friday attended a ceremony dedicated to Artsakh Hero Robert Abajyan’s birthday at the Fatherland Defender's Rehabilitation Center. The event was also attended by Abajyan’s parents and grandparents.
Robert Abajyan’s co-servicemen and the young inmates made barbeque in the center’s courtyard, and then celebrated their friend’s birthday with Nikol Pashinyan, Anna Hakobyan, and the parents and relatives of the Artsakh hero, the PM’s office reports.
“Today is the birthday of the Hero of Artsakh, our dear Robert Abajyan. I propose that we raise a glass for Robert, for his heroism and all of our fallen and living heroes. Let us drink to make sure that our lives and activities are worthy of their heroism, the sacrifice they made for the sake of the Motherland, for the sake of the Armenian people, for all of us. I hope we can live up to Robert Abadjian’s heroism regardless of what we are doing,” Pashinyan said, thanking Abajyan’s parents for having raised such a brave son.
The hero’s friends told the acting PM about their achievements and activities after treatment. Pashinyan toured the rehabilitation center and was briefed on the progress in the construction of a new building. There will be rooms and lounges for game therapy, recreation, educational audiences. The construction of the new building will be completed by the summer of 2019.
