23-year-old Armenian ballet dancer dies after two weeks in coma
Vahagn Margaryan, an artist of the Opera and Ballet National Academic Theater of Armenia, has died on Tuesday morning after 14 days in a coma, the chief of staff of Heratsi Hospital Complex, Shushan Danielyan told Panorama.am.
The 23-year-old ballet dancer was left in a coma after a devastating car crash on Yerevan-Ashtarak highway on 6 November. He was reportedly in a severe condition.
Margaryan won the key prize at the 4th International Baltic Ballet Competition held in Latvia’s capital city of Riga in June. He also represented Armenia at the Eurovision Young Dancers contest.
