‘In Armenia, time flows with its own rules’ – photographer invites people to ‘his’ Armenia
Professional Armenian photographer Hayk Melkonyan, who also organises tours, took to Facebook to introduce his ‘own’ Armenia to people, stressing a journey to the country will change everyone.
The photographer organizes regular exhibitions presenting the beauty of Armenia and daily struggles of the Armenian people.
“Every guide has his own, unique Armenia and they all have the right to exist. I invite you to visit my Armenia. I want to show you my mountains, canyons and ancient temples, introduce you to wonderful people who create them and tell you stories collected from different corners of the country. I pass them through my eyes of a photographer and a writer to later share it with you,” he wrote.
“I want to have you fall in love with Armenia. That’s true, I want Armenia to become a part of you,” he wrote.
Melkonyan stressed a visit to Armenia is not just a trip, since the visitors return home as different people.
“After all the Armenia, with which I want to introduce you, is not just a country on the map: it is a Place of Reset, where you can turn off your brain and rethink your life, where time flows with its own rules and a few days of visit seems a lifetime, even food turns into some ritual,” the photographer wrote.
“In my country, you will feel warmth at any time of the year. Organic and tasty food, beautiful and diverse nature, interesting stories and adventures, and, of course, wonderful people: this is what you will take with you and what will live in your memories,” Melkonyan wrote, asking those who want to tour through a ‘different Armenia’ to contact him.
"The most exciting journey starts from the first step on the threshold..." he concludes.
