Armenia, Russia sign agreement on international aviation incidents investigation bureau
Armenia and Russia signed on Thursday an agreement in Moscow on the creation of an international bureau of investigation of aviation accidents and serious incidents, TASS reports.
The agreement was signed by Russian Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich and Armenian Acting Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan.
The Russian minister told reporters that currently there are plans that the bureau will carry out its activities within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAAU). It will be headquartered in Moscow, while it is not still clear who will head the bureau.
The budget of the bureau will be formed by the membership fees of the EAEU states. The new structure’s key task will be the expertise of aircraft accidents.
