Erdogan says no equality between men and women
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, claimed at the 3rd International Conference on Women and Justice that there cannot be total equality between men and women.
"Justice gives everyone rights. This does not mean that everything is equally distributed for everyone or that everyone should be treated the same way.
You cannot put the big and the small on the same scale. Some people are constantly calling for equality. Well, if they are equal, let a woman and a man run 100 meters in the same time. It will not be fair. A woman should run with a woman, a man - with a man," Erdogan said.
