Artsakh Ombudsman visits Caroline Cox Rehabilitation Center
Artsakh Republic Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan visited Caroline Cox Rehabilitation Center today, the human rights defender's office informed. The Ombudsman learnt the conditions of the 20-year center, which is aimed at the rehabilitation and development of people with different physical and mental disabiities.
Mr. Beglaryan highly assessed the role of the center in restoring the Artsakh people's health, noting that it provides free-of-charge services to people of all ages, as well as makes a significant contribution to the integration of the disabled in the society.
The Defender also got acquainted with the Center for Day Care and Treatment of Autism founded two years ago by the Children's Day Care Center and state and charitable means, underlining the positive impact of the selected format and methodology on the protection of children with disabilities. Mr. Beglaryan and the founding director of the center Vardan Tadevosyan exchanged views on further cooperation and expressed readiness to deepen the existing cooperation between the two institutions for the proper protection of the rights of the disabled.
