Armenia to be represented by acting PM at CSTO summit in St. Petersburg – official clarifies
The acting prime minister will represent Armenia at the Russia-based Collective Security Treaty Organization’s (CSTO) summit in St. Petersburg on 6 December, Acting First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said today, dismissing the reports that he will replace Nikol Pashinyan at the key meeting.
“It’s not the format to be attended by the first deputy PM. It’s a format of presidents, and Armenia will be represented by the acting PM. I will not attend [the summit],” ARMENPRESS quoted Mirzoyan as saying.
Earlier some media reports alleged that acting PM Pashinyan will not participate in the December 6 meeting of the CSTO leaders, and Ararat Mirzoyan will participate in the summit instead. According to the reports, Pashinyan will not attend the summit since he is on vacation and the election campaigning is underway in Armenia.
