Ex-law enforcement officer linked to March 1 case sues investigation chef
The former head of an investigative group probing the circumstances behind the March 1-2, 2008 post-election developments in Armenia, Vahagn Harutyunyan has filed a lawsuit against Head of the Special Investigation Service (SIS) Sasun Khachatryan.
Harutyunyan, who has been charged with falsifying evidences pertaining to the March 1 criminal case with a group of investigators and police officers, demands Khachatryan to dismiss the ‘defamatory’ text about him.
The court received the legal claim on 20 November, Panorama.am has learned from DataLex.
A Yerevan first instance court had earlier ruled to arrest Harutyunyan as a measure of restraint imposed on him. He is reportedly on the wanted list at the moment.
