Armenian President: Armenian-Russian relations need to be renewed and expanded
The President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian received the First Deputy Chairman of the CIS State Commission for CIS, Eurasian Integration and Compatriots, Director of the CIS Institute Konstantin Zatulin and a group of newly created members of the Lazarev club who took part in the club’s first sitting in Yerevan, the President’s administration informed.
President Sarkissian noted that the club can become an effective platform for various discussions.
According to him, though the Armenian-Russian relations are developing steadily, they need to be renewed and expanded in new directions, involving the younger generation.
The President of Armenia particularly emphasized the enormous potential in education, culture and science and the importance of its utmost utilization.
