CSTO summit cancelled
The meeting of CSTO leaders scheduled for December 6 has been cancelled taking into consideration the request of Armenia, Russian President's assistant Yuri Ushakov said.
"Taking into account the request of the Armenian side over the pre-election period, which continues until December 9, we decided not to hold the CSTO summit," Ushakov said, during a briefing in Moscow, according to Interfax.
He noted that Valery Semerikov will continue implementing the duties of CSTO Secretary General.
Several days ago the Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had said that the CSTO summit scheduled on December 6 in Saint Petersburg would be cancelled at the request of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
