New wiretapped phone conversation between acting PM, security chief leaked online
A wiretapped telephone conversation between Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and National Security Service Director Artur Vanetsyan was leaked on YouTube on Wednesday.
In the recording, the two officials seem to discuss the possible arrests of Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Yuri Khachaturov and second President Robert Kocharyan, both charged over the March 1-2, 2008 post-election events in Armenia.
Vanetsyan is discussing the issues with Special Investigative Service Head Sasun Khachatryan in the second part of the conversation.
A recording of the wiretapped conversation between Vanetsyan and Khachatryan was leaked to the public in September. The conversation discussed the arrests and prosecution of individuals linked to the March 1 criminal case.
