Armen Sarkissian receives heads of CIS observation mission
President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian received Saturday the First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Viktor Guminsky and Head of the CIS observation mission headquarters Yevgeny Sloboda, who arrived in Armenia in connection with the observation mission during the snap parliamentary elections to be held on December 9.
Noting that the observation mission is conducted by over eighty representatives from eight countries, Mr. Guminski presented the mandate of the mission, their assessment and observation on the organization of the electoral process, the course of the pre-election campaign, the presidential administration's public relations department reports.
The interlocutors also talked about the further development of cooperation within the CIS framework.
President Sarkissian attached importance to the expansion of cooperation, in particular the need to maximally utilize the great potential of trade-economic, scientific-educational and cultural spheres.
