Some roads difficult to pass in Armenia
Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that some roadways are hardly passable in the territory of Armenia as of 9:25am Sunday.
Sotk-Karvachar highway and Vardenyats Pass are difficult to pass and are covered with black ice. Ashotsk-Bavra and Saravan-Zanger roads are also icy.
Snowfalls are reported in the towns of Gavar, Martuni, Sevan and Chambarak (Gegharkunik Province) and Vardenyats Pass.
It’s foggy on Talin, Goris, Kapan, Kajaran and Meghri towns.
Drivers are strictly recommended to use winter tires when traveling to the regions.
According to the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s General Department in North Ossetia reports stuck vehicles on the Russian side.
