Pashinyan’s My Step bloc leads the parliamentary polls by a large margin
My Step bloc led by Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has taken a clear lead in the parliamentary polls with 67.24 % of the vote, according to data processed from 185 polling stations which account for around 10% of all polling stations throughout Armenia.
According to these early results, Prosperous Armenia party comes the second, scoring 10.57% of the vote, according to initial results from the polling stations, followed by Bright Armenia party (6.35%) and Armenian Revolutionary Federation- Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) party (6.31%).
The information is continuously updated by the Central Electoral Commission as the results from 1998 polling stations throughout the country are summed up.
To note, a party needs to score at least five percent of the vote, while a bloc is required to have at least seven percent to win seats in the National Assembly according to the Electoral Code.
To remind. 48,63% of the total number of the citizens eligible to vote participated in Armenian parliamentary elections on Sunday.
