Pashinyan proud of Armenia’s ‘powerful’ people
Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to Facebook to state that he is proud of the ‘powerful’ people of Armenia after the release of the final outcomes of Sunday’s snap parliamentary elections that saw his My Step bloc secure a landslide victory.
“Powerful, powerful, powerful people!” he wrote. “I love you all, I am proud of you all, I bow before you all. With courage!”
As reported earlier, Pashinyan’s My Step bloc has garnered 70,43% or 884,456 votes in the early elections. The Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia parties have also entered the parliament with 8.27% and 6.37% of the vote, respectively.
1,260,840 people, or 48.63% of eligible voters, took part in the voting.
