Hrant Melkumyan victorious at FIDE Open
The London Chess Classic, the final leg of the 2018 Grand Chess Tour started on December 11.
Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian, Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave comprise the "final four" at the competition.
Meanwhile, the main tournament is accompanied by traditional FIDE Open, which is attended by 232 chess players, including 19 grand masters fom 40 countries. Armenia is represented at the tournament by grandmaster Hrant Melkumyan who has recorded two victories in the starting tours of the tournament and is among the leaders.
