Artsakh official comments on reports about dismissal of top military officers
There are no orders on the dismissal of any high-ranking military officer of the Artsakh army, presidential spokesman Davit Babayan told Panorama.am when asked to comment on reports alleging several high-ranking Artsakh military officers are going to be sacked.
“I advise you to follow the official reports, not to cause an uproar or make speculations. If there are appointments or dismissals, no matter who it refers to, we always report about it, as you know. If there is no such information, it should not be speculated,” he stressed.
Babayan said he had discussed the issue with President Bako Sahakyan on Thursday morning.
On Wednesday, some media reports suggested that several senior Artsakh army officers, including Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan, are to be dismissed.
