Roads mostly passable in Armenia
Roadways are mostly open for traffic in the territory of Armenia as of Thursday morning, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
Vardenyats Pass is closed, while Sotk-Karvachar highway is difficult to pass. Aparan roads are covered with black ice.
Snowfalls have hit Vardenyats Pass, the towns of Artik and Aparan, Aragac Province, Sisian-Zanger and Saravan-Znger highways.
Drivers are strictly recommended to use winter tires.
According to the Georgian Interior Ministry's Emergency Situations Department, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s General Department in North Ossetia reports stuck vehicles on the Russian side.
