Pashinyan offers condolences to Macron following Strasbourg terror attack
Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has addressed a message of condolences to French President Emmanuel Macron on the terror attack in Strasbourg, the PM’s office told Panorama.am.
“It is with deep sorrow that I learnt about the terror attack on a Christmas market in Strasbourg that hit France causing casualties and injuries.
“I extend my deepest and sincere condolences to You, the French people and families of the victims, wishing tenacity and patience. At this difficult moment Armenia and the Armenian people stand by friendly France,” reads the message.
The Christmas market in the French city of Strasbourg is due to reopen on Friday morning, after the attack carried out by a gunman on Tuesday evening, BBC says.
Cherif Chekatt was killed on Thursday by police on a city street after he opened fire on officers.
Three people died following the shooting at the market and several more are seriously injured.
