Three players represent Armenia at Sharjah Cup for Women
The United Arab Emirates is hosting the 9th Sharjah International Cup Chess Championship for Women, which has brought together 120 chess players from 33 countries.
Armenia is represented by three players at the championship – IM Lilit Mkrtchian, WIM Sona Asatryan and Armine Babayan, the Chess Federation told Panorama.am.
With 6 out of the 9 rounds played, Romanian Irina Bulmaga and Serbian Adela Velikic are leading the table with 5.5 points. Lilit Mkrtchian and Armine Babayan have 4.5 points, while Sona Asatryan has collected 4 points.
