EU to provide 6.5 million euros for Implementation of stress tests at Armenian NPP
The Armenian cabinet approved on Thursday the draft decree of the RA President on ““On Nuclear Safety Promotion and Stress-Tests in Armenia”. The agreement signed between Armenia and the EU in 2017 envisages enhancing nuclear safety of the Armenian NPP as part of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
The financial grant for the project activities amounts for 6.5 million euros for a duration of 96 months.
The financial grant envisages support to the Armenia’s nuclear operator and the regulatory body in promoting nuclear safety, including increasing the safety measures after the stress tests.
