Property sales to foreigners in Turkey up 42% in 2018
The number of residential properties sold in Turkey to foreign nationals increased by 42%, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). Official data showed that property sales to foreigners in 11 months in 2018 reached 35․430 units.
In general, foreign nationals purchased 20․247 houses in Turkey in the period from January to November 2017, while the number for the indicated period in 2018 is 35․430.
Among foreigners, most sales were made to Iraqi nationals with 3․387 houses, followed by Iranians (3․217) nationals of Afghanistan (1․8520), and Russians (2.040), TurkStat said recalling the data of the first eleven months of the ongoing year.
