Marcos Pizzelli named Armenian football player of the year
Brazilian-born Armenian football player who is the captain for FC Aktobe and plays for the Armenia national team has been named the Armenian Footballer of the Year, according to the survey results organized by the country’s Football Federation.
Pizzelli has scored 171 points, leaving behind the second-placed Arsenal midfielder and national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan and third-placed Sargis Adamyan of German SSV Jahn Regensburg.
Meanwhile, Andrey Talalayev of Yerevan Pyunik FC has won the Best Coach 2018 prize.
To note, Armenian Footballer of the Year is an annual award given to the best professional Armenian football player. The winner is elected by Football Federation of Armenia members, referees, inspectors, coaches, captains and presidents of the Armenian Premier League clubs, as well as the journalists and media.
